Courses for the Radio Communication Examinations

I run courses at all three levels, Foundation, Intermediate and Advanced, principally for active members of the two clubs with which I am involved. These are the Wey Valley Amateur Radio Group and the Horsham Amateur Radio Club. I also run courses for the University of Surrey Radio Club as and when they have potential candidates.

Other for the University of Surrey, I normally run courses from my home in Cranleigh and try and schedule these for either weekdays or weekends to suit candidates. I reckon to allow three days (10:00 to 16:00) for the Foundation, four days for the Intermediate and ten for the Advanced. I have two exam venues that I can use in Cranleigh and two in Horsham.

I make no charge for my time so the costs are restricted to the exam fee (£20, £25 or £30 respectively), the hire of the exam venue (£15 per hour shared bewtween candidates) and in the case of the Intermediate, the cost of materials used (£10).

Planned Courses

As at 10/2/09

Foundation - I am in the process of completing a series of Foundation Courses and nothing further is planned until later in the year.

Intermediate - One course is currently underway. A second Intermediate Course commences 10th / 11th March for which spaces are still available.

Advanced - A Saturday course starts on 14th March with a view to sitting the Exam scheduled for Thursday 4th June. Spaces are available.
